Annalysing the contents page of 'Q' magazine

  • the contents page uses the same colours as the front cover, and therefore they both follow similar codes and conventions
  • the logo is poistioned in the same location on both pages
  • this page is split into 3 columns like the front page
  • the layout appears to look fresh, organised and sophisticated, which relates to the codes and conventions of the magazine genre
  • the image is different, these artists represent more of rock music than pop, which Madonna portayed on the front page. However the wide variety of artists used from different genres of music, again follow the codes and conventions of the 'q' magazine. This is because the 'Q' magazine consists of a wide range of genres including: pop and rock.
